Charles Cooke, a transfer from James Madison sitting out this season, also congratulated Wehrli.
“Nothing but positive vibes over here,” Cooke wrote.
Wehrli is averaging 2.6 points and 2.2 rebounds per game. He played in two of the first nine games. When Dayton dismissed its only two big men from the team in December, his role increased. He’s played double-figure minutes in each of the seven games since, and the Flyers are 7-0 in that stretch.
