Ohio State sets spring game attendance record

Ohio State set a spring football game national attendance record with a crowd of 99,391 on Saturday at Ohio Stadium.

Ohio State set the previous record of 95,722 in 2009. It drew just over 61,000 a year ago.

Quarterback Cardale Jones, who led the Buckeyes to the national championship in January, threw for 224 yards and one touchdown in the first half for the Gray team.

Jones also won the longest throw competition at halftime. His 75-yard throw beat teammate J.T. Barrett and Heisman Trophy winner Troy Smith.
