Ohio State sets spring game attendance record

Ohio State set a national spring game attendance record of 100,189 on Saturday at Ohio Stadium.

The Gray team, led by redshirt freshman quarterback Joe Burrow, beat J.T. Barrett’s Scarlet team 28-17.

In the first half, Barrett threw two interceptions, one returned 82-yards for an interception by Malik Hooker, as the Scarlet team built a 21-10 halftime lead.

After Hooker’s touchdown, Joe Burrow threw an 18-yard touchdown pass to Torrance Gibson for Scarlet’s second touchdown and then a 2-yard shovel pass to Torrance Gibson.

Mike Weber scored on a 1-yard run just before halftime to score the Gray’s first touchdown. He scored on an 8-yard run in the third quarter to cut the deficit to 21-17.

Marshon Lattimore also picked off a pass from Barrett. Jerome Baker intercepted Burrow in the second half with a one-handed grab. Hooker came up with a second interception in the second half, this time picking off Stephen Collier.

Burrow threw a 47-yard touchdown pass to Terry McLaurin for the final score.
