Toppin became the sixth player in Atlantic 10 Conference history to attempt at least 10 shots without a miss. Delonte West, of St. Joseph’s, set the record with 12-of-12 shooting against Xavier in 2004. Rhode Island’s Kenny Green is the only other player in A-10 history to make 11 of 11 shots. He did so against George Washington in 1988.
Dayton (6-5) improved to 5-1 at home. The Flyers play Presbyterian at 2 p.m. Saturday.

Josh Cunningham scored a season-high 28 points on 10-of-13 shooting for Dayton. Jalen Crutcher scored 14. Trey Landers had 11.
Dayton led the entire second half but had to hold off a charge by the Broncos, who got as close as seven points after making three straight 3-pointers midway through the half.

FIRST-HALF RECAP
Crutcher made 4 of 5 3-pointers and scored 12 points in the first half as the Dayton Flyers built a 45-33 halftime lead.
Crutcher made his first four 3-point attempts and didn’t miss one until the final seconds of the half.
Dayton shot 69.2 percent from the field and led by as many as 18 points.

Toppin made all six of his field-goal attempts and also scored 12 points. Cunningham made 4 of 6 shots and scored 10. Trey Landers made 3 of 4 shots, scoring eight points.
Western Michigan shot 52 percent from the field. Michael Flowers led the Broncos with seven points. Ten players scored at least a point for Western Michigan.
