Dayton adds two walk-ons from local high schools to roster for 2018-19 season

The Dayton Flyers announced the addition of two freshman walk-ons to the roster on Friday just before an exhibition game against Capital at UD Arena.

Jabali Leonard, a Meadowdale High School graduate, and Christian Wilson, a Northmont graduate, will be on the bench this season along with returning walk-ons Jack Westerfield and Camron Greer. Both players are 6-1 guards.

Leonard will wear No. 51. Wilson is No. 53.

Leonard has been practicing with the team since the summer. He averaged 23.0 points per game as a senior. Wilson averaged 9.0 points per game as a senior.

In other pregame news, Ryan Mikesell will join the four returning starters in the starting lineup. UD also announced its season opener against North Florida on Nov. 7 will be televised by Spectrum.
