Dayton recruits Koby Brea, center, and Lukas Frazier, right center, watch from behind the bench during a game against Indiana State on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2019, at UD Arena.

The Dayton Flyers announced the signing of three 2020 recruits on Friday. UD still has one scholarship open in the class.

Coach Anthony Grant commented on the three players in a press release.

Here’s what he had to say about each of them, who are listed in the order they verbally committed to Dayton.

Lukas Frazier

The 6-foot-4 guard from Mentor Lake Catholic committed to Dayton in June.

Grant: "Luke brings size and skill to our backcourt. He plays with great pace and makes the game easier for those around him. His skill set and versatility will fit well in our system and style of play."

Koby Brea

The 6-6 guard is a senior Monsignor Scanlan High School in Bronx, N.Y. He committed to Dayton in October.

Grant: "Koby brings great size to our backcourt with the ability to stretch the defense. He has the ability to develop into a prolific scorer as well as having the skill set to make plays for others."

R.J. Blakney

The 6-6 guard from Baltimore graduated from St. Maria Goretti High School in Hagerstown, Md., and now is spending a post-graduate year at Loomis Chaffee School in Windsor, Conn. He committed to Dayton in October.

Grant: "R.J. brings a high level of athleticism, competitiveness, and skill to our perimeter. He really excels in transition and plays with a high motor on both ends of the floor."
