>>A REAL GEM: UD Arena shines in championship night
Unlike the previous season, UD did not lead the state of Ohio in college basketball attendance.
In a resurgent season under new coach Chris Holtmann, Ohio State drew 13,495 fans to rank 21st in the nation and seventh in the Big Ten.
That is up from an average of 12,324 in the last season under coach Thad Matta but still well below the capacity of Value City Arena of 19.049.

Wittenberg ranked eighth nationally in Division III with an average of 1,089 fans per game.
That trailed Wooster, Marietta and John Carroll among teams in Ohio.
