The Dayton Flyers inched closer to the top 25 in the Associated Press women's basketball poll Monday, receiving 11 points in voting. That's four more than last week.

Dayton (20-4, 13-0) has the fourth-highest points total of teams left out of the top 25. The Flyers rank 39th in the RPI.

The Flyers extended their winning streak to 14 games in a row Sunday with a 57-53 victory at George Washington in Washington, D.C. They secured their 10th 20-win season in the last 11 years. This is also the fourth-longest winning streak in school history.

Dayton won 18 games in a row in a streak that began in February 1980 and ended in November of the following season. Dayton has twice won 16 games in a row, most recently in the 2007-08 season, and it has two 15-game winning streaks, one coming in the 2012-13 season.

Dayton returns to action at 2 p.m. Sunday against Fordham (19-6, 10-2) at UD Arena.
