Alexander, who visited UD in February and sat behind the bench during a game against Duquesne, is also considering St. John's, Pittsburgh, Seton Hall and Illinois.
Alexander, a 5-foot-11 point guard from Our Saviour Lutheran School in Bronx, N.Y., ranks 83rd on ESPN’s list of the top-100 recruits. He ranks 99th, according to 247Sports.com. Rivals.com ranks him 123rd.
In February, Alexander shared photos on Instagram of him touring the Dayton locker room at the Donoher Center at UD Arena. Dayton offered Alexander a scholarship in July 2017. He missed most of his junior season after breaking his arm.

Dayton has one commitment from the 2020 class. Lukas Frazier, a 6-foot-4 guard from Lake Catholic High School in Mentor, announced his verbal commitment in June.
Dayton has two scholarships open in 2019 and two opening in 2020, one of which Frazier will fill.
