Only redshirt senior forward Josh Cunningham will leave the team after this coming season, barring any unexpected departures. That means Dayton has two scholarships open for 2019. Here’s an update on recruiting in that class and the 2020 class.
Final four: Joe Toussaint, a three-start prospect from Bronx, N.Y., named Dayton as one of the four schools he's considering on Tuesday. The 6-foot point guard from Cardinal Hayes High School also listed Iowa, Wichita State and UNLV as potential destinations.
Toussaint ranks 229th in the class of 2019, according to 247Sports.com. Dayton offered him a scholarship last November.
Junior college prospect: On Aug. 2, Dayton offered a scholarship to 2019 recruit Nathanael Jack, a 6-4 guard from Eastern Florida State College. He averaged 10.7 points per game as a freshman. He graduated from Calusa Prep in Miami, Fla., but is originally from Mississauga, Ont.
Official visit: Moulaye Sissoko, a 6-9 forward from Lincoln Academy in Suwanee, Ga., will visit Dayton on Oct. 19, according to HoopSeen.com. He will first visit Xavier, North Texas and Virginia Commonwealth. He's a three-star recruit who ranks 288th in the class of 2019, according to 247Sports.com. Dayton offered him a scholarship in June.
Final eight: Ismael Cruz, a 6-3 point guard from Fresno High School (Calif.), listed Dayton among his final eight schools Tuesday. He's also considering New Mexico and Colorado among others. Dayton offered him a scholarship in June.
High-ranked recruits: Jaylen Clark, a 6-4 guard from Centennial High School in Corona, Calif., received an offer from Dayton on Monday. He ranks 61st in the class of 2020, according to Rivals.com.

Familiar school: Another top-100 recruit in the 2020 class, 6-8 forward Kareem Reid, received an offer from Dayton on Aug. 30. He attends Putnam Science Academy, the alma mater of former Dayton point guard Scoochie Smith. Rivals.com ranks Reid 84th in the nation.
Reid’s fellow Putnam Science Academy junior, Hassan Diarra, earned a scholarship offer from Dayton on Aug. 20. He’s a four-star prospect who ranks 134th in the 2020 class, according to 247Sports.com.
Pennsylvania prospect: A.J. Hoggard, a 2020 recruit from Coatesville, Pa., who now attends Huntington Prep (W.Va.), received a scholarship offer from Dayton on Aug. 20, according to a report by Andrew Slater. VCU, New Mexico, Providence and Rhode Island are among the other schools recruiting Hoggard.
