The Dayton Flyers routed Saint Louis 67-46 on Sunday at UD Arena to move into first place by themselves in the Atlantic 10.

Richmond lost 82-77 to George Mason, and La Salle lost 90-52 to VCU. The Spiders and Explorers suffered their second A-10 losses. At 15-4 and 6-1, Dayton leads those two teams and VCU by a game.

Star of the game: Scoochie Smith led the Flyers with 19 points on 6-of-9 shooting.

Stat of the game: The Flyers held Saint Louis, the worst-shooting team in the conference, to 30 percent shooting from the field and 15.8 percent shooting from 3-point range.

Big run: Dayton trailed 10-4 in the opening minutes and then went on a 23-2 run.

Play of the game: Joey Gruden recorded his first career assist in the final seconds, leading Trey Landers for a layup.
