Dayton Flyers safety, a Fairborn grad, named preseason All-American

Dayton Flyers senior safety Brandon Easterling, a Fairborn High School graduate, was named to the HERO Sports’ Football Championship Subdivision Preseason All-America First Team on Thursday.

Last season as a junior, Easterling led the FCS in solo tackles (7.5 per game) and ranked second in total tackles (12.7). He intercepted six passes and recovered three fumbles. He led the FCS in turnovers acquired.

Easterling is a three-year letterwinner. He was named an All-American by HERO Sports, the Walter Camp Foundation, the Associated Press and STATS FCS last season.

Last season, Easterling set a school record with a 100-yard interception return in a victory against Drake.
