Dayton Flyers: Transfer announces his next destination

Frankie Policelli is transferring to Stony Brook.

A 6-foot-7 forward, Policelli played his high school basketball at Long Island Lutheran, which is roughly an hour west of his new school.

In 20 games last year as a true freshman, he averaged 0.9 points in 4.8 minutes for the Flyers.

He had previously announced his intention to continue his career elsewhere.

He scored a season-high eight points in 19 minutes against Fordham on Jan. 26. He did not appear in either postseason game against Saint Louis in the Atlantic 10 Conference tournament or Colorado in the NIT.

Ohio high school basketball legend Geno Ford is the coach of Sea Wolves, who compete in the America East Conference.
