Magassa played for France’s Under-18 national team in the European Championships last summer, averaging 8.9 points and 5.4 rebounds while shooting 61.5 percent from the field.
"I am absolutely thrilled to have Ténin join our Flyer family,” Dayton coach Shauna Green said in a press release. “She brings great experience and also an imposing presence at 6-5. She is someone who can defend, rebound, and score with her back to the basket. We cannot wait to have Ténin here on campus!"

Magassa is from in Morsang-sur-Orge, a suburb of Paris, and aattended Jean Moulin High School in Vincennes, another Parisian suburb.
With Magassa joining the roster, Dayton will have eight players who did not see action last year or who were not on the team. The list includes redshirt freshmen Destiny Bohanon, Maliya Perry and Nadjy Tyler and incoming freshmen Bailee Adkins, Capria Brown, Makira Cook and Anna LeMaster.
