Dayton Flyers women’s basketball program receives second commitment in four days

The Dayton Flyers women’s basketball program received its second verbal commitment from a member of the 2021 class in the last four days Sunday.

Shannon Wheeler, who received a scholarship offer from Dayton in April, announced her decision to attend Dayton on Twitter.

Wheeler, a 6-foot-2 center/forward, will be a senior at Renaissance High School in Detroit.

Wheeler also had scholarship offers from Temple, Detroit Mercy, Nebraska Omaha, Cleveland State, Western Michigan and others.

Brynn Shoup-Hill, a 6-foot-3 forward from Goshen, Ind., committed to Dayton on Thursday.
