Dayton offers scholarship to 2020 recruit from Cleveland area

Second Ohio offer from Dayton this week

The Dayton Flyers stayed in state with their latest offer to the class of 2020.

John Hugley, a 6-foot-8 junior forward from Brush High School in Lyndhurst, just east of Cleveland, announced Monday he received a scholarship offer from Dayton.

Hugley shared a photo on Twitter of himself at Dayton on June 18 with Dayton freshman guard Dwayne Cohill, another Cleveland-area recruit, and his high school coach, Chet Mason, and a Brush teammate, Andre Harris.

Hugley has recently received offers from Miami, Duquesne, Kent State and others.

Hugley’s coach, Mason, scored 1,230 points at Miami from 2001-05. On Twitter, Mason wrote, Hugley is also being recruited by Michigan State, Purdue, Ohio State, Iowa, Penn State, Nebraska and Wisconsin.
