The Dayton Flyers are recruiting a second player from Vermont Academy.

Symir Torrence, a 2020 recruit, received a scholarship offer Wednesday from Dayton, the school announced on Twitter. The Flyers had already offered a scholarship to Vermont Academy's Tyler Bertram, a 2019 recruit who reportedly will visit Dayton this week.

Torrence, a 6-3 guard, is originally from Syracuse, N.Y. He’s a three-star recruit who ranks 124th in the class of 2020, according to 247Sports.com. Rivals.com ranks him 80th in the country.

Torrence has offers from Cincinnati, Providence and Massachusetts among others.

Dayton has two scholarships open for 2018 and could have as many as three open for 2019, depending on how many it leaves open for the coming season. It is too early to tell how many scholarships will be open in 2020, but Ryan Mikesell, Trey Landers and Jhery Matos will be seniors in the 2019-20 season.
