Seton Hall, Cincinnati and Long Beach State are among the other schools that have offered scholarships to Champagnie, who attends Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School in Brooklyn, N.Y. His twin brother, Justin, also has offers from Cincinnati, Seton Hall and others.

Eric Hampford, of MadeHoops.com, listed Julian as one of the standout players at the Hoop Group Elite Team Camp in July.

"The improvement of the 6-7 wing forward has been very impressive since last fall," Hampford wrote, "and colleges are noticing. His versatility is impressive, and he had his motor turned all the way up for Bishop Loughlin over the weekend. He showed three-level scoring ability and a willingness to defend throughout the event, and I really was impressed by his vocal leadership on both ends of the floor."
