Murray attends Cardinal Hayes High School in Bronx, N.Y. Seton Hall and Texas Tech have also offered him scholarships this spring.

Murray is the second player from Cardinal Hayes Dayton has recruited in recent years. Joe Toussaint, a 2019 point guard, put Dayton in his final four last September but picked Iowa.

Dayton has two scholarships open in 2019 after Jordan Davis and Frankie Policelli decided to transfer and will have two opening in 2020 with Trey Landers and Ryan Mikesell playing their final seasons.

The 2021 class will be a big one if the roster doesn’t change because five current players will be playing their final seasons in 2021: Ibi Watson, Rodney Chatman, Jordy Tshimanga, Jhery Matos and Jalen Crutcher.
