Dayton offers scholarship to 2025 guard from Toledo

It’s the fourth offer to 2025 class UD has made this month

Antione West Jr., a 6-foot-3 guard in the class of 2025, announced Tuesday he received a scholarship offer from the Dayton Flyers.

West will be a junior at Whitmer High School in Toledo. He received an offer from Xavier on Monday and offers from Ohio and Penn State earlier this season. He received his first Division I offer from an Atlantic 10 Conference school, Duquesne, in February 2022.

West averaged 21.5 points per game as a sophomore. He was the player of the year in the Three Rivers Athletic Conference.

West joins a growing list of 2025 recruits Dayton has targeted. This month, UD has offered scholarships to the following 2025 recruits:

• Kiyan Anthony: A 6-3 guard, the son of Carmelo Anthony, from Glen Head, N.Y., and Long Island Lutheran High School.

• Dorian Jones: A 6-8 forward from Cleveland and Richmond Heights High School.

• Kingston Land, a 6-8 forward from Cincinnati Moeller.
