Dayton Flyers recruit Mike Sharavjamts will play for the World Team at the Nike Hoop Summit.

The game will be played at 10 p.m. Friday at the Moda Center in Portland, Ore. It will air on the NBA’s Facebook and YouTube pages as well as the USA Basketball’s Twitter page.

The Nike Hoop Summit features a number of the nation’s top recruits. The rosters were announced Monday. The U.S. team includes the top nine recruits on ESPN’s list of the top 100 players in the class of 2022.

Sharavjamts’ team includes, among others: Yohan Traore, an Auburn recruit from France who ranks 36th in the 2022 class, according to ESPN.com; Felix Okpara, an Ohio State recruit from Nigeria who ranks 58th; and Vincent Iwuchukwu, a Southern California recruit from Nigeria who ranks 27th.

Sharvajamts, a 6-foot-8 point guard from Mongolia, committed to Dayton in December. He ranks 100th on ESPN’s list. He’s the only current member of UD’s 2022 recruiting class, though it has two scholarships open after Moulaye Sissoko and Elijah Weaver entered the transfer portal.

Sharavjamts averaged 10.2 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3.6 assists in 24 games this season for the International Sports Academy in Willoughby, Ohio, and shot 51.2% (44 of 86) from 3-point range.

The Nike Hoop Summit has been played every year since 1995 with the exception of 2001-03 and the last two two years because of the pandemic. Kevin Durant, Jayson Tatum and Dirk Nowitzki are among the many current NBA stars who have played in the game.
