Dayton Flyers men’s basketball coaches have traveled all over the country this month working on future recruiting classes.

A map shared by the Dayton basketball Twitter account last week showed some of those destinations: California, Florida, Kansas, Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, New Jersey — and, yes, even Ohio.

Last week was the second of three evaluation periods in July. Coaches could watch recruits in action. Another period starts Wednesday.

New Dayton assistant coach Donnie Jones shared photos on Twitter showing he had been to four different events: Elite 32 Atlanta (July 13-15); Super Six Showcase in Atlanta (July 20-22); Summer Hoops Festival Live in Orlando (July 18-21); and Best of the South in Emerson, Ga. (July 19-22).

A couple of new Dayton scholarship offers emerged in recent days.

Andre Jackson, one of the top recruits in the 2020 class, received an offer Saturday, according to a report by Pat Lawless. Jackson is a 6-foot-6 shooting guard from Albany, N.Y. He ranks 41st in his class, according to 247Sports.com. Indiana offered him a scholarship on the same day.

Isaiah Wilkins, a 6-4 small forward from Winston Salem, N.C., also received a scholarship offer from Dayton on Saturday, according to a report by Brandon Blakney. A 2019 recruit, Wilkins also has an offer from Virginia Tech.

Isaiah Cozart, a 6-7 small forward from Richmond, Ky., took an unofficial visit to Dayton on June 29, according to Julius Kim. He has offers from St. Bonaventure, Bucknell, East Tennessee State and Eastern Kentucky among others.

Dayton has not picked up a commitment in the 2019 class. It will have three scholarships open if it doesn’t add anyone to the 2018-19 roster.
