Northern Kentucky dealt Wright State’s hopes for a regular-season Horizon League title a major blow with an 83-79 upset Saturday night at the Nutter Center.

Drew McDonald scored 22 points, including four free throws in the final 15 seconds to rally the Norse from seven points down in the second half.

WSU fell to 15-9, 6-5 HL despite getting a game-high 27 points from Mark Alstork. Justin Mitchell added 18 points, and Steven Davis scored 15 for the Raiders, who return to action Thursday at home against Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
