The Dayton Flyer Pep Band and Rudy Flyer, the University of Dayton mascot, have made the rounds in New York City this week in advance of Dayton's quarterfinal game against Saint Louis in the Atlantic 10 tournament at 8:30 p.m. Friday.

Willie Morris, the longtime director of the pep band, got some face time on the Today Show as a “Let’s Go Flyers!” chant broke out in the crowd.

“The Dayton Flyers are right here,” Morris said as the band cheered behind him.

Rudy Flyer appeared with the other A-10 mascots on Friday morning at the Nasdaq stock exchange, ringing the opening bell to start the day of trading. Earlier in the week, Rudy participated in a mascot dunk contest for “The Tonight Show.”
