Centerville proved it’ll be another tough out in the upcoming postseason by defeating Oak Ridge (Fla.) 63-52 at the 17th annual Premier Health Flyin’ to the Hoop on Saturday.

Senior guard Ryan Marchal converted 13 of 15 free throws for 22 points to lead the Elks (8-5), who won their fourth straight. Junior Jason Sneed added 17 points.

Oak Ridge, Florida’s defending state 9A champ, was paced by Emmanuel Adedoyin’s 14 points. Christopher Walker, a 6-9 center who signed with the University of Oregon, had 13 points and 10 rebounds. Only two players and no starters returned this season from that team.

The game was a stark contrast in Oak Ridge’s 20-16 loss last week at Orlando Boone, its first in-state setback in 30-plus games. OR led that game 3-0 at halftime.
