Trotwood-Madison offensive lineman Jaison Williams is going to be an Akron Zip.

The Division III first-team All-Southwest Ohio selection made that announcement Wednesday.

“Dreams do come true!” Williams wrote on Twitter. “I am very thankful for this opportunity. Thank you to everyone who supported me, especially my mom. With that being said I would like to announce my commitment to the University of Akron!”

Williams is not among the top 100 players in Ohio according to the 247Sports Composite rankings, but he was among the top performers at the Best of the Midwest combine in central Indiana in February.

Williams was part of a Rams team that went 15-0 last season and won the Division III state championship.

He helped clear the way for Ohio Division III co-offensive player of the year Ra'veion Hargrove, a senior running back who signed with Bowling Green.

Williams is among nine players who have verbally committed from the class of 2019 so far.

Also making their choices recently were Fairfield tight end Erick All and Alter quarterback Connor Bazelak.
