In his prime, Jones was a strong cover man who also excelled in the return game, averaging 10.1 yards per punt return and taking five back for scores, but trouble dogged him on and off the field.

Jones had 12 interceptions as a Bengal and 17 in a career that also included stops in Tennessee, Dallas and Denver.
He played seven games last season for the Broncos before being released.

While excelling on the field, Jones frequently found himself in the news for the wrong reasons, including an altercation with law enforcement in January 2017 in which he allegedly spit on a nurse at the county intake after officers arrested the cornerback outside a Cincinnati hotel a little more than 24 hours after the final game of the Bengals season.
Hamilton County prosecutor Joe Deters chose not to press felony charges, but Jones pled guilty to a misdemeanor of obstructing official business as part of a plea deal in May.
