Former Dayton Flyers all see action on first night of NBA Summer League

Three former Dayton Flyers combined for 10 points Friday on the first night of play in the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, Nev.

Charles Cooke scored seven points on 3-of-8 shooting in 15 minutes as the Minnesota Timberwolves lost 70-69 to the Denver Nuggets. He grabbed four rebounds.

Scoochie Smith shot 0-for-3 from the floor and had one point, two rebounds and four assists in 10 minutes for the Cleveland Cavaliers, who beat the Washington Wizards 72-59.

Kostas Antetokounmpo played the final two minutes for the Dallas Mavericks in a 92-85 loss to the Phoenix Suns. He made his only field-goal attempt and finished with two points.

Play in the NBA Summer League continues all weekend. Each team plays three preliminary games before being seeded in a tournament.
