Former Dayton Flyers forward Johnson finds new team overseas

Former Dayton Flyers forward Chris Johnson will continue his pro basketball career in Israel.

Hapoel Jerusalem announced the signing of Johnson on Monday. Johnson took his game overseas last season for the first time, playing in France with BCM Gravelines-Dunkerque. He averaged 15.6 points per game in 25 games.

In 2016-17, Johnson played in the NBA G-League with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers. He played parts of four seasons with the Vipers. Johnson has appeared in 147 NBA games in four seasons, most recently in 2015-16 with the Utah Jazz.

Johnson, a 6-foot-6 guard/forward who scored 1,467 points in his UD career (2008-12), played with the Indiana Pacers in the NBA Summer League.
