Former Dayton Flyers star leads German league in rebounding

Former Dayton Flyers forward Dyshawn Pierre completed his first season in Europe as the leading rebounder in the top league in Germany. He averaged 7.9 rebounds in 32 games for Lowen Braunschweig.

Pierre, who finished his career at UD in 2016 with 1,145 points, ranked 12th in the league with 14.9 points per game. His team finished 6-26 and ended the season Monday with a third straight loss. Pierre had 31 points and 10 rebounds in the final game.

Pierre played against former Dayton teammate Vee Sanford on April 23. Pierre had 23 points and 15 rebounds in a 67-66 victory. Sanford scored 12 points.
