Former Dayton Flyers point guard Scoochie Smith has taken his game to Greece for the next step in his pro basketball career.

Peristeri, which is located in the northern suburbs of the capital, Athens, announced the signing of Smith on Friday.

Smith started his pro career in Cairns, Australia, in 2017, and then played in the NBA G League with the Canton Charge at the end of the 2017-18 season. After playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Summer League, he returned to their G League team in Canton and played there for the entire 2018-19 season. He averaged 12.2 points, 6.5 assists and 4.5 rebounds last season in 50 games. He started 46 games.

Smith is expected to debut April 13 for Peristeri, according to EuroBasket.com.
