“Jalen is ready to rewrite the script this summer,” the Red Scare wrote on its official Twitter account. “He brings size and versatility to our team.”
Robinson scored 373 points in two-plus seasons at Dayton. He was dismissed from the University of Dayton and the team early in his junior season in December 2014 for his involvement, along with teammate Devon Scott, in on-campus burglaries. In 2016, Robinson publicly apologized for his actions, and he did so again in a video shared by the Red Scare on Twitter.

“I’m very excited to announce I’ll be playing in this year’s TBT tournament for the Red Scare,” Robinson said. “I want to take time out to apologize to the city of Dayton and to the University of Dayton as well for my mishaps off the court, for making bad decisions. I was an immature young kid, and my head wasn’t on straight and not really thinking. I love the city of Dayton, and I love the university and I enjoyed my time there. I’m really looking forward to representing the University of Dayton the right way. Go Flyers.”
The Basketball Tournament starts July 4 at Nationwide Arena in Columbus. The Red Scare were seeded eighth out of 24 teams and received a first-round bye. They will play their first game July 8.

The 7-0 Thompson played two seasons at Ohio State (2015-17) and averaged 8.5 points. He has since played in France, Belgium and Lithuania.
