Gruden to make first career start for Dayton Flyers

Dayton Flyers walk-on guard Joey Gruden will make his first career start Saturday in his final game at UD Arena. The Flyers play George Washington at 3 p.m.

Gruden will be honored before the game along with the team’s other senior, guard Darrell Davis. This is the last game of the regular season for the Flyers.

Gruden is a 6-1 senior from Leesburg, Va., who attended Sycamore High School in Cincinnati. He has appeared in 22 games in the last four seasons and five games this season.
