High School Football: Lakota West running back makes college choice

Lakota West running back David Afari has made his college decision.

The senior-to-be made a verbal commitment Thursday to the Miami RedHawks. He announced the decision on Twitter.

Afari rushed for 639 yards (4.0 per carry) and a touchdown last season. The 5-foot-10, 200-pounder also caught 12 passes for 50 yards.

According to 247sports.com, Afari is a three-star recruit who ranks 41st in Ohio among Class of 2020 recruits.

Lakota West opens the season Aug. 30 at La Salle.
