High school football playoffs: Who made the postseason cut?

Here’s who we think qualified for the high school football playoffs.

Pairings are based on the websites JoeEitel.com and Drew Pasteur’s Ohio Fantastic 50. The Ohio High School Athletic Association will announce official first-round pairings on Sunday.

Teams qualify for the playoffs by being among the top eight teams in their respective regions. Computer points are collected for wins and wins by a defeated opponent.

The top four teams in each region host first-round games. The following week’s regional semifinals shift to neutral sites through the end of the postseason.

Divisions I, II, III and VI will play on Fridays through the state semifinals and Divisions IV, V and VII on Saturdays. It takes five postseason games to win a state title. State championship weekend will be held at Canton’s Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium on Dec. 5-7.
