One of the area’s top juniors has made his college decision.

Elijah Brown of Wayne announced Friday morning he has committed to the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Brown is a four-star prospect and the No. 11 player in Ohio in 247Sports Composite rankings for the class of 2022.

The 6-foot-6, 240-pound tight end led the Warriors with 20 catches for 278 yards and a touchdown last season.

According to 247Sports, Brown has offers from more than 20 schools, including members of every Power 5 conference and Notre Dame.

He is at least the fifth area player from the 2022 class to make a verbal commitment so far.

Alter’s C.J. Hicks has committed to Ohio State while teammate Derrick Shepard Jr. has committed to Cincinnati.

Lakota West teammates Tegra Tshabola and Jyaire Brown are also headed to Ohio State.
