Wayne Warriors football Evan Tengesdahl is a major college prospect.

Another of the area’s top junior football prospects has verbally committed.

Wayne offensive lineman Evan Tengesdahl announced Thursday afternoon he will be staying close to home and staying in red and black for college as a member of the Cincinnati Bearcats.

Tengesdahl is a three-star prospect in early 247Sports Composite rankings and the No. 17 player in Ohio.

He is the second member of the Warriors offensive line to verbally commit from the class of 2023, joining Ohio State-bound Joshua Padilla. They are both also members of the Wayne wrestling team.

2023 Miamisburg offensive lineman A.J. Salley is also committed to the Bearcats already while Springfield receiver Anthony Brown has given his pledge to Minnesota.

While the 2022 class can sign letters of intent next week, the juniors are a year-plus away from being able to do so.
