H.S. Results 2/7: Monroe boys earn first SWBL title since 2007

Monroe boys basketball wrapped up at least a share of the Southwestern Buckeye League Southwestern title with a 48-42 win versus Edgewood on Friday.

It’s the first conference title for the program since the 2006-2007 season.

Centerville 67, Miamisburg 53: Centerville secured at least a share of the Greater Western Ohio Conference title with the victory. It marks the seventh consecutive conference title for Centerville.

Springboro 57, Beavercreek 47: Carson Gutmann led the way with 17 points, Yuvi Bimwal added 16 and Jaden Rambo 12 for ‘Boro.

Northmont 44, Fairmont 39, OT: B.J. Hatcher turned in 14 points and Victor Drummond 12 to help Northmont nab the overtime win.

Fairfield 51, Lakota East 46: Michael Lewis tallied 17 points, Daviawne Crim 13 and Gabe Clemmons had a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds for Fairfield.

Tippecanoe 54, Sidney 49: C.J. Bailey posted 15 points and Larkin Thomas added 12, including a clutch pair of foul shots late. Two Sidney players reached 1,000 career points in the loss, A’zon Steele and Julius Spradling.

Franklin 54, Clinton-Massie 32: Kai Cook poured in 30 points, moving into second place in all-time scoring for Franklin behind Luke Kennard.

Tecumseh 51, Urbana 49: Chase Stafford scored 27 points, passing 1,000 career points and leading Tecumseh to victory.

Dayton Christian 58, Middletown Christian 35: The win kept Dayton Christian undefeated in Metro Buckeye Conference play and earned DC at least a share of the MBC title.

Delphos St. John’s 71, New Bremen 50: Cameron Elwer hit a school record 10 three-point baskets on the way to 32 points, moving into second place behind Justin Ahrens for the all-time Midwestern Athletic Conference scoring list.
