Jack McCrory of Shawnee verbally commits to Ohio University

Shawnee senior Jack McCrory has made his college decision.

He will continue his football career in Athens at Ohio University.

McCrory ran for 667 yards on 103 carries last season for the Braves, who went 6-4 overall and finished second in the CBC Kenton Trail division.

He also caught 12 passes for 198 yards.

McCrory ran for nine touchdowns and caught two more.

He also made 73 tackles.

He was one of two area players to make his choice known over the weekend.

Lakota West defensive lineman Tyler Bentley verbally committed to Kentucky.
