One website’s math gives the No. 2 seed Dayton Flyers the best chance of winning the Atlantic 10 Conference tournament.

KenPom.com favors Dayton for the second straight season. It gave the Flyers 26.7% odds of winning the championship at Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C., last season and gives them a 33% chance of hoisting the trophy at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., on Sunday.

Dayton lost to Richmond in the semifinals last season. Richmond entered the tournament with a 7% chance of winning and beat regular-season champion Davidson in the final game.

The other top contenders are: No. 1 seed and regular-season champion Virginia Commonwealth (28.5%); No. 4 Saint Louis (12.9%); No. 3 Fordham (8.0%); No. 6 Duquesne (7.2%); No. 5 George Mason (3.2%); and No. 8 Davidson (3.1%). No one else has odds better than 1%.

The A-10 tournament starts Tuesday at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., with three games involving the bottom six seeds and continues Wednesday with four games. Dayton (20-11) starts play in the quarterfinals at 5 p.m. Thursday against No. 7 seed George Washington (16-15), No. 10 Saint Joseph’s (14-16) or No. 15 Loyola Chicago (10-20).

Dayton has an 81.3% chance of reaching the semifinals and a 55.7% chance of reaching the championship game.

Dayton is the highest-ranked A-10 team at No. 73 in the Pomeroy ratings. VCU is No. 76. No other team in the top 100.

Dayton’s only conference tournament championships have been won at UD Arena. It beat Detroit, Loyola and Xavier on three straight days to win the Midwestern Collegiate Conference championship in 1990 and beat Rhode Island, Saint Joseph’s and Temple on three straight days to win the A-10 tournament in 2003.
