» LOOKING BACK: Beals named OSU coach in 2010
The seventh-seeded Buckeyes (35-25) beat No. 2 seed Michigan 2-1 on Wednesday and then beat No. 6 Maryland 3-2 on Thursday. They lost 9-6 to No. 4 Minnesota on Saturday but beat Minnesota 8-6 in an elimination game Sunday before winning the title against No. 5 Nebraska.
Beals improved his career record at Ohio State to 297-228-1. His overall record, counting nine seasons at Ball State, is 540-430-1.
