Gibson, a three-star prospect who ranks 19th among Ohio recruits in the 2019 class, according to 247Sports.com, joins fellow Springfield senior, Moses Douglass, in the Kentucky Wildcats recruiting class.

The 6-foot-4, 294-pound Gibson narrowed his choices to Michigan State, Minnesota, Purdue, Wisconsin and Kentucky in July and to three (Kentucky, Purdue and Wisconsin) on Sept. 6.

Gibson has 15 tackles in four games this season for Springfield, which routed Centerville last week and takes a 4-0 record into a Friday home game against Lebanon.

The Wildcats have one other player who has committed to a Division I school. Michael Brown-Stephens picked Minnesota in July.

Ra’Heim Moss is another Springfield recruit with Division I offers. Moss, Gibson, Douglass and Brown-Stephens all rank in the top 70 in Ohio’s 2019 class.
