Now that Cleveland’s baseball team has won the American League pennant, it can’t print enough World Series tickets to meet demand.
WKYC reports early sales to "a select group of fans" resulted in high prices on secondary markets even before a public sale was held at 10 a.m. Thursday.

Tickets didn’t last long in the latter sale, either, as the team announced by 10:30 those had sold out.
As of mid-morning Thursday, the cheapest way a fan could get into Game 1 via Stubhub was to drop $700, and that wouldn’t even buy a place to sit. Those are for standing-room-only tickets.
Meanwhile, there were diamond seats behind home plate going for nearly $20,000.
