Miami Valley Football Coaches Association inducts 6 into hall of fame

The Miami Valley Football Coaches Association recently inducted six new members into its hall of fame.

Chosen as head coaches were Bill Nees, Jerry Wasserman and Jerry Harkrader (legend nominee). Nees continues to coach at Piqua High School and has coached the Indians the past 26 seasons. Wasserman (Northeastern) and Harkrader (Fenwick) are both deceased.

Inducted into the MVFCA hall of fame as assistant coaches were Steve Woods, Tom Adams and Roosevelt Mukes.

Also, Oakwood head coach Butch Snider takes over as the MVFCA president and John Puckett of Butler was voted vice president.

All will be honored again during the MVFCA North-South All-Star Game on Friday, June 7 at Centerville High School.
