Might Nick Mangold be on the move?

It’s been a while since Nick Mangold did any football, but the former Alter High School and Ohio State star is a candidate to move back into the NFL.

Waived by the Jets in February after 11 years with the team that drafted him in the first round in 2006, the seven-time Pro Bowl center checked in with the Ravens this spring, but did not sign a contract.

Shortly after he was released, Mangold sounded like he wanted to keep playing, telling NFL.com, "While this is a sad day to leave so many great coaches, teammates and executives, I look the forward to seeing what the future holds for me."

The NFC champion Atlanta Falcons might be interested, even though they were the only NFL team last season to have the same five offensive linemen start every game. The Falcons are anchored up front by former Browns center Alex Mack, one of the game's best, but they lack depth and right guard Chris Chester retired.

Mangold, 33, suffered an ankle injury last season, but he may well have some good football left.

There was this story about the Giants being interested. And what about the Dolphins?

Should the Bengals inquire?

Even if he's finished playing, the two-time All-Pro will always have that Celebrity Family Feud title from 2015. And, of course, he has that hair. Unlike fellow Centerville native and former Ohio State star A.J. Hawk, he didn't trim his manly mane.
