MLB Draft: Wright State slugger selected by Minnesota Twins

Wright State’s Gabe Snyder, the Horizon League Player of the Year, was selected by the Minnesota Twins in the 21st round of the MLB Draft on Wednesday.

Snyder, who just completed his senior season, was the 634th overall pick.

Snyder, a 6-foot-5, 235-pound native of Millersburg, Ohio, led Wright State and the Horizon League in average (.359), home runs (15) and RBI (73) this season.

Teammates Ryan Weiss (fourth round, Arizona) and Caleb Sampen (20th round, Los Angeles) also were drafted.
