About Dayton: Dayton has a 96 percent chance of winning this game, according to KenPom.com, which predicts an 87-68 score. … Jalen Crutcher missed Dayton's last game after hitting his head late in the game Dec. 21 against Colorado. He was in concussion protocol last week, and he said it was too early to say whether he would be able to play in this game. It was the first game Crutcher missed in his career. He had appeared in 75 straight games. … In the season opener against North Florida last season, Dayton broke open a close game early in the second half and pushed its lead to 20 before North Florida made a run in the final minutes to cut the deficit to single digits. Toppin scored 18 points in his first college game.
About North Florida: The Ospreys have lost five games to teams ranked in the top 60 of the Pomeroy ratings: No. 26 Florida; No. 19 Iowa; No. 46 Creighton; No. 17 Florida State; and No. 57 Syracuse. The worst teams they've lost to is No. 241 Tennessee State. … Four players who started for North Florida against Dayton last season are starting again this season. The only starter who didn't return was Noah Horchler, who scored 19 points against Dayton last season.
