Northmont senior defensive back lands scholarship to Dayton

Northmont High School senior Cameron Rucker recently was awarded by the W.S. McIntosh Leadership Award committee, which includes a full scholarship to the University of Dayton.

Rucker will play football for the Flyers. A 5-foot-11, 153-pound defensive back, Rucker had 36 solo tackles, 23 assists, two interceptions and two sacks for the Thunderbolts (8-3) last season.

He has a 3.946 GPA and has scored 25 on the ACT. He will pursue a mechanical engineering degree at UD and also will serve a four-year internship with the City of Dayton.
