Barrett won the award for the seventh time. That’s the fourth most in Big Ten history. He moved with two touchdowns of tying former Purdue quarterback Drew Brees, who was responsible for a conference-record 104 touchdowns (passing and rushing) in his career.

Ohio State running back J.K. Dobbins, who became the sixth player in school history to start the first game of his freshman season, was named freshman of the week. He rushed for 181 yards on 29 carries with a long run of 35 yards and caught two passes for 24 yards.
