NBC will have the game as part of its new partnership with the Big Ten that begins this season.
Ohio State has won seven in a row against the Spartans, and the last six have been decided by at least 20 points.
The last three have been particularly ugly with the Buckeyes winning 52-12 in East Lansing two years ago and 56-7 in Columbus last season.
Monday afternoon, Fox announced it will have the Ohio State-Michigan game for the sixth straight year.
The 119th edition of The Game will kick off at noon on Nov. 25 in Ann Arbor.
Heading into the 2023 edition of rivalry, Michigan leads the series 60-52-6.
The Buckeyes’ eight-game winning streak from 2012-19 brought the series as close as it had been since 1905, the last season before the forward pass was legalized, but the Wolverines have won two in a row for the first time since 1999-2000 to extend their lead back out to eight games.
Michigan’s last three-game winning streak against Ohio State came in 1995-97 during a stretch in which Ohio State went 2-10-1 against the Wolverines.
Although big games are often scheduled to be played at 3:30 or in the evening to maximize TV viewership — and pregame party time for fans — Fox has in recent years found a winning formula in scheduling its most-appealing matchup of the day in the first broadcast window of the Saturdays.
That has done well in ratings, and it matches up well with tradition in the case of The Game.
Ohio State and Michigan have never played at night, and The Game often has been played in the early afternoon with the 3:30 kickoff of the 2006 matchup between the top two teams in the polls a notable exception.
Early-season game times and select big games are typically set and revealed in May with the rest to come after the season starts.
Predicting game times may be trickier this year with the Big Ten’s new media contracts going into action.
The majority of games will be on Fox or Big Ten Network with CBS and NBC also handling games for the conference beginning this fall.
The latter two replaced ESPN, which did not renew its long-running contracts with the conference.
